Vietnam Motorcycle Show continues to miss the Vietnamese market
Vietnam motorcycle show continues to miss the Vietnamese market. Vietnamese consumers will not have the opportunity to admire the latest products from global motorcycle manufacturers when this year's Vietnam Motorcycle Show will continue to be postponed.
Information from the Vietnamese Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM) has indicated that the Vietnam Motorcycle Show 2019 will not be held in May as scheduled. This is the second consecutive year that this exhibition has not been organized, after two successes in 2016 and 2017.
As in 2018, the Vietnam Motorcycle Show has been postponed without official explanation from the VAMM. Some VAMM members also anticipated this cancellation.
This information is a surprise for the Vietnamese market. In 2018, the VAMM announced its intention to hold the 3rd Vietnam Motorcycle Show in May 2019 at the SECC Exhibition Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The Association even invited bidders of the organization of events to prepare for this exhibition.
The failure of the organization of the Vietnam Motorcycle Show 2019 will oblige the Vietnamese motorcycle brands to find a different playground. These are exhibitions of Harley-Davidson, Triumph and Ducati at Auto Expo, Kawasaki at Saigon Autotech...
The Vietnam Motorcycle Show was organized for the first time in 2016 with the presence of 5 VAMM members including Honda, Piaggio, Suzuki, SYM, Yamaha and real importers such as Ducati, Kawasaki, Benelli or Indian and Victory.
In 2017, Vietnam Motorcycle Show was held for the second time with the presence of members of VAMM, Benelli, Brixton, Ducati, Kawasaki, Peugeot, Harley-Davidson, Moto Guzzi and Aprilia, but BMW Motorrad was absent. However, this Vietnam Motorcycle Show has also attracted around 156,000 visitors in four days.
